These are exciting times for England Netball as we are currently ranked No.3 in the World. With a growing membership and regular television coverage we are seeking to appoint a Director of Performance who is a high achiever and has the drive and ability to succeed in helping us take the next step to becoming World Champions.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Director of Performance will be accountable for:
The leadership of the Performance Team and the successful implementation of England Netball`s Performance Strategic Plan which is based on five strategic Pillars – world class athletes, coaches, competition, training environments and sports science & medicine support. The England Head Coach will report to the Director of Performance and have responsibility for technical development of the game in England.
Our immediate target is to reach the final of the 2015 Netball World Cup but in the longer term our aspiration is to become World Champions. To achieve this goal we need to identify and develop more athletes with world class potential across all areas of the court.
Netball is a non-Olympic sport so is funded by Sport England, and subject to continued achievement of targets, their investment is committed until March 2017.

Disney Festivals- Volunteer Opportunities
Following the success of last year’s International Netball Festival at Disneyland Paris England Netball has extended its partnership with the travel company Sport Experiences and committed to delivering an enhanced programme of events at Disneyland Paris. These events provide England Netball with the ability to generate a commercial return, attract new participants to the sport and deliver a first class netball festival. This year we are running 3 festivals due to the popularity and demand of these events. These festivals are for junior U12, U14 and U16 teams. The format of the festival will involve tournament pool matches on Day 1, coaching sessions on Day 2 and tournament placing matches on Day 3 along with an awards evening.
All staff will be given a full day off on one of the days and provided with a free pass to visit the parks!
The dates of the festivals are: Sunday 29th March – Thursday 2nd April (Travel on Sunday and Thursday)
Wednesday 8th – Sunday 12th April (Travel on Wednesday and Sunday)
Sunday 25th – Thursday 29th October (Travel on Sunday and Thursday)
Travel, accommodation and meals will be provided.
The roles required for these festivals are as follow: Umpire
– Responsible for officiating the pool games and finals during the tournament. Umpire/Coach
– One day of umpiring and one day assisting the Elite coach during the netball master class sessions. Event Organiser
– Responsible for overseeing the event and creating a fun atmosphere for all involved.
