Job Description

The Netball Development Community Coach (NDCC) team are responsible for developing, marketing and coaching the Back to Netball programme. They are also responsible for developing local netball infrastructures to ensure sustained participation in the sport.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to be part of this high performing team. Experience and an understanding of coaching in the returner domain are essential and a UKCC Level 2 qualification is desirable. You must be a great communicator and enjoy working with women. - Providing effective administrative support within the Regional Unit

- Co-ordination and administration of programmes and events

We seek an individual with a proven track record in providing service, coordinating/administering events, projects or training courses. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be well organised with experience of working to tight deadlines. Experience of working with volunteers (paid or unpaid) is also advantageous.

NYC Coach Recruitment - Role Information

Last summer England Netball piloted the delivery of Netball Youth Camps. After the successful delivery of a number of camps we are looking to continue to deliver the camps in 2015 and beyond. We are looking for a pool of top quality, fun and friendly netball coaches to work at and deliver our Netball Youth Camps (NYC) as Lead Coaches and/or Assistant Coaches.

In 2015 and onwards we are looking to extend the delivery of camps throughout the country during school holiday periods, but not just the summer. We will be running camps in Easter, May Half Term, Summer, October Half Term and February Half Term. The camps are for either 9-11 year olds (High 5) or 11-16 year olds and will be:
• 5 days - 9.30am-approx. 3.30pm (participants in attendance 10am-3pm)
• 3 days - 8.30am-approx 5.30pm (participants in attendance 9am-5pm)
• 3 days - 9.30am-approx. 3.30pm (participants in attendance 10am-3pm)
OR
• 1 day - 8.30am-approx 5.30pm (participants in attendance 9am-5pm)


The roles of Lead NYC Coach and Assistant NYC Coach will be responsible for the running of the camp and delivery of netball coaching sessions and other fun activities. You will be required to be onsite 30 minutes prior to the start of each day to prepare for delivery and remain after the end of the camp until the last participant has been collected. In addition involvement with pre camp planning will be required in which content of delivery will be determined along with allocation of roles and responsibilities.

Payment for pre-planning and delivery at the camp will be a flat rate as follows*:

3 days (8.30am-approx. 5.30pm)- Lead Coach = £420 Assistant Coach = £280
3 days (9.30am-approx. 3.30pm)- Lead Coach = £280 Assistant Coach = £190
1 day (8.30am-approx. 5.30pm)- Lead Coach = £140 Assistant Coach = £95
