Who is the Goverining Body of Netball in England?

The All England Netball Association Ltd (England Netball) is the National Governing Body and is responsible for all aspects of Netball in England.
The Head Office, situated in Hitchin, Hertfordshire deals with the day to day administration of the Association through its 28 full time employees and 10 part time employees.
In addition, various aspects of the work are dealt with by a network of 30 full and part time people working for the Association in the Counties and Regions, carrying out specific roles to ensure continued growth and development of the sport.

Two National Committees – the Game Committee and the Membership Committee, head up the differing needs of each area of work of the Association. In turn these Committees are assisted by Technical Support Groups as appropriate.
The Board of Directors is responsible for implementing policy and comprises the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer plus up to a maximum of four Elected Directors (all are elected by the Members), plus up to a maximum of three Appointed Directors (appointed by the Board) and the Chief Executive. All England Netball Committee Members work on a voluntary basis.
The Country is divided into 9 geographical Regions with each Region sub-divided into 57 Counties and 3 Armed Forces Associations.
Within the 57 affiliated Counties there are approximately .350 Leagues spread across England.
Broken down further, England Netball’s membership consists of approximately 3,000 registered Clubs made up from approximately 61,000 individual players.
Approximately 2600 Schools are also affiliated.
The Regions and Counties are autonomous but are governed by the Constitution and Byelaws of the Governing Body. Their own Constitutions would be amended to suit their local requirements.
Each County is required to affiliate its Playing Members, Coaches and Umpires to England Netball, with the fee being determined by the Board of Directors.
In addition to funds coming in from the Affiliation fees, England Netball receives grants from Sport England  to increase participation and raise standards of performance and help us achieve our ultimate aim of becoming No.1 in the World.
Income is also generated through sponsorship and other commercial ventures including the sale of Publications and Merchandise.
Revenue is also obtained through Event Ticket Sales and the licensing of products such as netballs and clothing.
The wider picture of Netball in the World sees England as a Member of the Federation of European Netball Associations (Netball Europe), which in turn is one of the 5 geographical divisions of the International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA).
Many other Countries have their own Governing Body. There are currently 42 Countries belonging to IFNA which is the body responsible for the compilation of the Rules, to which each Country must adhere
