Officating Courses and Awards (amended 17 December 08)

England Netball via their regions and Counties run the following Course/Workshops together with Umpiring Awards:

• Youth Award Orientation Workshop for teachers (this leads into the teacher being able to deliver the Youth Umpire Award to their pupils via the school curriculum)

Please note the following: 

• Beginner Umpire Courses: England Netball affiliated and non affiliated personnel may attend these courses.  However non affiliated personnel will not be covered by insurance. 
• 'C' Award Courses: If the C award course is the first course delivered within a County then again non affiliated personnel will not be covered by insurance
• 'B' Award Courses: Only England Netball affiliated members may access this course and should hold a currrent C Award umpiring qualification

The following course has been developed to try and ensure that all matches from grassroots through to the top level eventually all have Timekeepers and Scorers - so that the Umpires do not have to keep a scorecard.

• Table Officials course

National Training courses - administered directly through England Netball for A Award umpires and Testers and Tutors

Testing for Officials (Anyone undertaking a test must hold a current England Netball affiliation.  The qualification also only remains avalid when a current affiliation is held)

• England Netball Youth Umpiring Award
• England Netball Beginner Umpiring Award
• Netball Europe 'C' Umpiring Award
• Netball Europe 'B' Umpiring Award
• Netball Europe 'A' Umpiring Award

IFNA/Netball Europe administer the IFNA International Umpire Award
