Anti Doping Information

The Board of Directors of England Netball have agreed a change to the anti-doping rules of England Netball in order to ensure the sport remains compliant with the latest international regulations issued by the world anti-doping association (WADA)

With the support of UKsport, the board has agreed that:

The Anti-Doping Rules of England Netball as previously set are repealed as and from the 1st January 2009 and that they are replaced by the following rule:

The Anti-Doping Rules of England Netball are the UK Anti-Doping Rules published by the Drug-Free Sport Directorate of UK Sport (or its successor), as amended from time to time.Such rules shall take effect and be construed as the rules of the England Netball.

England Netball conforms to the WADA code
Anti-doping adminsitration is handled by UK Anti-Doping and IFNA
  • The following groups of athletes are subject to out of competition testing
England National Squad, England U21 squad and Superleague squads
  • The following groups of athletes are subject to in competition testing
England National squad, England U21 squad, Superleague squads and international fixtures (e.g.FENA)
 
To find out if a substance or medicine you take is prohibited or needs declaration or therapaeutic use exemption (TUE) www.globaldro.com
 
To declare a substance e.g. asthma inhaler (salbutamol, serevent, steroid inhaler) www.ukad.org.uk
 
To find out how to complete a TUE e.g. some asthma inhalers (terbutaline, formoterol) steroid tablets for medical problems. www.ukad.org.uk
