Over 20 million people play Netball around the world in more than 70 countries.
The International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA) is the sole, internationally recognised, governing body for Netball, affiliated to the General Association of International Sports Federations, the International World Games Association and the Association of Recognised Sports Federations, receiving funding from the International Olympic Committee.
Currently, close to 60 National Netball Associations are affiliated to IFNA, grouped into 5 Regions - Africa, Asia, Americas, Europe and Oceania - each with a respective Regional Federation.
Regional Federations are an integral part of the global governance structure and assist in the implementation of IFNA policies and development of the sport in their respective regions.

Representatives from England Netball have been appointed to several roles recently introduced by the International Federation of Netball Association's (IFNA) board.
A number of new panels and sub-committees have been formed by the organisation and Cheryl Danson, Bill Alexander and Liz Broomhead of England Netball have been selected to carry out various roles.
Cheryl Danson, chair of the rules advisory panel, will sit on the IFNA Game Committee while Bill Alexander has been appointed to the officiating panel. Liz Broomhead and Anita Navin have both been selected to sit on the coaching panel and Sheelagh Redpath has been appointed to the match official advisory panel.
Janet Wrighton MBE, Regional Chair for the West Midlands will continue as a long-standing member of the IFNA Board. Appointments to IFNA Panels.
The IFNA Match Officials Panel (MAP) is now responsible for the testing of umpires for the International Umpires Award (IUA) and for the coaching of such umpires. In order to carry out this responsibility effectively, MAP will appoint a panel of international testers to be known as the IUA Testing Panel (ITP).
The ITP shall be comprised of up to fifteen (15) international testers, with a maximum of three (3) from any region. Where members of MAP meet the qualifications and competencies for appointment to ITP (see below); they shall be automatically appointed as international testers.
ITP members will work closely with up to three (3) cadet members in each region who have been identified as potential international testers in order to offer appropriate experience and training and to ensure appropriate succession planning. Cadets will work in liaison with international testers and will be responsible for screening of potential IUA umpires and for assisting with the identification and training of talented umpires. Testers shall be appointed for between two and four years and are eligible for reappointment.
Following the above; nominations were sent to Netball Europe and IFNA; and we are delighted to advise that Margaret Deighan has been appointed to ITP and Jo Kelly has been appointed as a Cadet.
Paul Clark, CEO of England Netball, is delighted that such a high representation of England Netball volunteers will sit on the IFNA Panels. He said: "These appointments will help shape and develop netball across the globe."
"Their selection is a justifiable recognition of their expertise and commitment to netball and is truly merited."
