Welcome to Nets

Nets is a fabulous new version of Netball!

Previously known as ‘Indoor Netball’, Nets was overseen by the Indoor Netball Association (INA); a voluntary organisation that had been promoting grassroots participation of Indoor Netball, and managing teams representing England internationally.

Over the last 2 years, a close collaboration formed between the INA and England Netball, leading to England Netball recognising Indoor Netball as a form of the game (Nets), and to the two organisations merging. The Indoor Netball participants and stakeholders continue to influence the development of the game through an Advisory Group, reporting directly to the England Netball’s Board.

Nets is a variation of netball that is fast, non-stop and very tactical. Although there are similarities with the rules of standard 7 a side netball, there are obviously a number of differences as well. The most obvious of these is that the game is played within an enclosed high tension cage, or ‘nets’. Visit the Nets Basics page to find out more.
