The FastNet Diamonds are made up of Australia’s most promising under 25 athletes. The group contains seven current Australian Diamonds squad members with four players recording Test caps. All of the squad bar three played in the ANZ Championship this year with the remaining athletes’ graduates of the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Fastnet first entered netball’s international calendar last year and brings together the top six nations in the world to compete in a quicker-modified version of netball that includes innovative rule changes such as rolling substitutions, shooting from outside the goal circle and power plays.
