What they say: “We would like to have an equally strong season, although we have an injury to our GS (Lynsey Armitage) which will make a difference, but we have a great bunch of girls who are really committed and want to win. We have a good nucleus in the side and a strong centre court, so even if we do have a slow start we believe we can come back strong. Pre-season training has gone well with a lot of fitness training and not too much match play as the squad have played a lot of netball this year and needed a break. We are very confident from last season and will be taking that into this year.”

Prediction: A fantastic campaign last year may prove to be tricky to replicate, with a lot depending on how quickly Armitage comes back from injury.However, if they can continue the form they showed last season there is no reason why they cannot prosper. A title challenge may be out of reach after a losing start to the season but a few wins would soon change all that.
