What we say
A tricky one this. Bath have been a dominant force in recent years
but last year’s defeat to Storm in the opening play-off showed a
different side to the allconquering team that FNSL fans had been used
to. Pamela Cookey has switched to Storm and Rosie Allison is competing
in New Zealand so they will be looking for some new shooters to step up
this season. A fight could be on their hands to qualify in the top four
after the SuperSplit kicks in.
What they say
Head Coach Jess Garland: “Team Bath are looking forward to an exciting
new season in the Fiat Superleague. This year Team Bath NSL will see
players at Bath such as Mia Ritchie and youngsters such as Kadeen Corbin
and Yasmin Parsons moving from NTL to Superleague. The new look Team
Bath Squad will be a combination of maturity and youth. With the
leadership of Gemma Fletcher and Asha Tett, we are looking forward to
developing the next Team Bath generation. Team Bath are extremely proud
of the number of athletes that have come through the franchise and have
gone on to represent England and hope to continue this. Whilst we are
losing some well-known faces to ANZ and other FNSL teams, we still aim
to play exciting netball and look forward to the journey this season. We
wish those moving on well and thank them for their time here. However,
watch this space for some new faces at Team Bath this year. We would
also like to extend a warm welcome to our new Team Manager Sophie
Warner".
