Youth Advisory Group
Create Opportunities. Develop Awareness. Inspire Young People.
It's been an exciting time over the last year for the Youth Advisory Group - we made lots of progress in helping the youth voice be heard via the Youth section of the England Netball website (August 2009), putting together the first EVER Youth Magazine (Feb 2010 issue of Netball), aiding in the development of the Young Leaders Camp in 2009 and 2010, launching the Pass on your Passion recognition programme for young leaders and volunteers (August 2010) - please click here to sign up!, and presented our first annual report (June 2010); amongst other things! We also said goodbye to our first chairman, Lauren Watson, who got the YAG off to a brilliant start and will be missed lots!
So, what have we been doing recently? We've been setting to on regularly updating the website to keep you guys more informed, looking for ways of gathering more young people's opinions via questionnaires, new ways of engaging young people, important safeguarding issues, looking for a new member, and developing ways of working more strategically to move forward. We are also planning to be at the Liverpool Echo Arena for the World Netball Series (19-21 November) - not to be missed!
We are here to be the voice of young people.... we want to represent YOU, so any thoughts or ideas you may have in ways of improving the youth experience and/or your thoughts on what they YAG have done so far in any shape or form please send them to the YAG email address youthadvisorygroup@englandnetball.co.uk. Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled over the next few months for new content on the website!
