Natasha Hough (London Mavericks) and Ané De Wet (Team Bath) have been named U17 and U19 Players of the Season for the 2024-25 Netball Performance League (NPL) campaign.
After an action-packed season full of rising talent on show, London Pulse did the double, taking the title in both the U17 and U19 competitions.
Over 370 athletes took to the court in 2024-25 with the Player of the Season winners chosen based on each league game’s Player of the Match Awards.
At the end of each game, both teams picked a Player of the Match from the opposition team. The winning team’s Player of the Match was awarded three points, and the losing team’s player received two points.
These scores were then tallied up to determine the players with the most points in each age category and therefore the trophy winners.
At U17 level, Hough starred for London Mavericks as they secured a fifth-place finish.
Playing over 35 quarters, the goal shooter / goal attack / wing attack picked up five out of a possible nine Player of the Match awards.
In the U19 competition, De Wet starred in over 35 quarters for Team Bath as her side placed third in the standings.
Scooping six out of a possible 10 Player of the Match accolades, she impressed at goal shooter, goal attack and wing attack.
Congratulations to our two winners! You can read more about the NPL season here.
