Botswana Netball Association (BONA) invites applications for the position of National Coach.

The National Coach is responsible for coaching the national squad, and overseeing the development of the “21 and Under” squad, as well as the age group squads.

The National Coach will manage the development of coaching at the higher levels, especially at the elite level. The National Coach will be involved in the development of the game in the areas of playing, umpiring and coaching in collaboration with the Technical Committee.

The National Coach must have international experience at the elite level. The person must hold a recognised Level 2 netball coaching qualification (or higher) and have proven coaching success at international or elite national level.

The person must have working knowledge and experience of programming strategies and structures to ensure progressive development pathways for all areas of the game. The National Coach must demonstrate qualities such as commitment, drive, innovation and adaptability and must value effective communication in the daily working environment.

The position is supported by a BONA Development Officer and a Technical Executive who perform administration tasks in relation to the high performance program, national open and age group squads and umpire and coach accreditation/development.

The initial contract period will be 2 years.

The recruitment process will conclude January 31st 2016.
