Eagles have been crowned champions of the 2025 U16 National Clubs Finals, in association with the British Army.

The South regional winners were in top form throughout the weekend at the David Ross Sports Village in Nottingham, finishing undefeated to claim the title.

Showing they meant business on day one, Eagles started with a dominant 37-9 victory over TTNC Warriors followed by a commanding 37-8 win against Herts Dynamos. This saw them top Group E with a goal average of 4.35 – the best by far in the opening stage of the competition.

Regrouped for stage two, they continued to show their quality with back-to-back victories over Sheffield Steel NC (12-36) and Grangetown (32-11).

Day two saw no signs of slowing down as they kept their perfect record intact, overcoming eventual bronze medal winners Bramhall Netball Club (12-46) and AP Saints (14-34).

Having finished fifth in 2024, Eagles were guaranteed to improve upon their previous finish and set up a final showdown with last year’s bronze medallists Kingsway Power.

Led on day one by Netball Super League Head Coach of NIC Leeds Rhinos Lauren Palmer, the North West regional winners entered the final with a perfect record of their own.

Roared on by their fans in the crowd, both sides gave it everything to get their hands on the trophy, but it was Eagles who proved too strong with a narrow 23-27 victory.

In the third-place play-off, Bramhall Netball Club triumphed over Aces in a nail-biting 23-24 contest to take the bronze medal.

At the presentation ceremony, Kingsway Power’s Lois Cowin was named the Most Valuable Player having impressed with her consistent performances at goal shooter over the weekend. Future Rose Izzi Phillips and England Netball President Joan Mills  were on hand to present the trophy.

Physique Management also provided an England Netball approved first aid kit for the winning team along with prizes for all players on the winning team.  All the results can be viewed via the Netball Connect app, which can be downloaded here, and replays of the games can be watched via England Netball TV.

A huge thank you to all the clubs, officials, volunteers, partners – British Army, Physique Management, Perform Better, Gilbert, Here We Flo, Collection Cosmetics and Sports Tours – supporters and staff for a fantastic weekend of action.
