The England Netball National Schools competition is the biggest and longest running competition in English netball, and the U19 and U16 finalists are ready to compete for the title this weekend.

The National Schools competition crowns the top schools in the U14, U16 and U19 age divisions, culminating in the National Schools Finals weekend in association with the British Army where a champion from each division will be crowned. This year, the U19 and U16 finals will be held on one weekend, with the U14 finals taking place the following week on 22 March.

The U19 and U16 finals come first on 15 and 16 March at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, where 18 teams will compete in each age division. It will be the first time in the event’s history that all games will be held indoors.

For those wanting to watch the action from home, the National Schools Finals in association with the British Army will be streamed on englandnetball.tv here. A weekend pass to all games costs £9.99 or you can pay £4.99 per age group.

Fixtures, live scores and results will be shared on the England Netball website and will be available to follow on the Netball Connect app. For those attending the event in person, QR codes will be on display around the venue so that spectators can easily access the results page throughout the weekend.

All teams competing this weekend started their 2025 National Schools journey in the County Rounds, from which the top schools advanced to the Regional Schools Finals, with the top two sides from each age category from each region then qualifying for the National Finals weekend.

Both divisions see last year’s champions return to defend their title, with Hartpury College from the South West region looking to retain the U19 trophy and Putney High School from London and the South East fighting to keep the U16 title.

The weekend begins with teams in both divisions each being split into two sections where they will compete in a round-robin format.

The top two teams in each section from each age group will then progress to the semi-finals, followed by third-place play-offs and then the finals. All the fixtures can be viewed here.
