The Inclusive Sportswear Charter is the first sports clothing standard based on inclusion and choice. England Netball has joined a host of governing bodies and kit providers in committing to advocate, educate and deliver inclusive sportswear policy and practice through the Inclusive Sportswear Charter. Inclusive Sportswear’s goal is for sports kit policy to never be a barrier to participation, with a singular mission: to enable choice and comfort at every level of sport. The Inclusive Sportswear Charter harnesses sports kit policy & practices to deliver choice and enjoyment. By pledging to the Inclusive Sportswear Charter, organisations signal their commitment to enable participation, enjoyment and performance at all levels. The pledge is to embed the Charter in sports kit policies, practices and decisions in their community and contribute to unifying attitudes to sports kit policy and practice to support choice and enjoyment. England Netball’s commitment to this charter sees the organisation make an important step in their commitment to promote and offer kit choice across the Netball Family. Executive Lead for NETBALLHer at England Netball, Kelly Gordon said: “At England Netball, we are proud to pledge our commitment to the Inclusive Sportswear Charter, advocating, educating, and delivering inclusive sportswear policy and practice in our netball community. This is an important step in our NETBALLHer journey; there is still work to do to ensure that choice and comfort comes first at all levels of netball.” Inclusive Sportswear Founder Tess Howard MBE OLY expressed: “I am thrilled to announce the Inclusive Sportswear Charter and our first pledges.
