It is ideal for students who want to get involved in officiating and get involved at school or officiate at the School Games.

Into Officiating Award

The Into Officiating award has been designed for young people from 13 to 18 years of age and consists of a 6 hour workshop led by an approved teacher or England Netball tutor. Getting Qualified

Once learners have attend the Into Officiating Award course, they will need to gain practical experience in a game setting which could be acquired through after school clubs or school matches. This needs to be supportive with appropriate feedback being offered to help develop confidence.
Once the learners are ready for the Practical Assessment they need to apply to the County Umpiring Secretary for an assessment.

Practical Assessments cost £15 and an England Netball Assessor will be organised to assess the learner. The Assessor will also offer practical advice on areas that can be improved to further assist the umpires’ development.
