Bio

Celena Appleby-Prince was introduced to the England setup in 2022-23 when she was named in the Roses Academy.

The defender is currently studying for a BSc in Sports Coaching at Loughborough University. Alongside her degree, she’s represented the university in BUCS, winning the 2024 and 2025 Championship Finals.

Appleby-Prince has also played for Loughborough Lightning in the Netball Performance League (NPL), helping her side accomplish a clean sweep to lift the U21 trophy in the 2023-24 season.

After starting the 2025 season in Loughborough Lightning’s NXT Gen squad, she was drafted into LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons’ Netball Super League team as a permanent replacement player.

Appleby-Prince travelled to Australia as part of the England Under 21 tour in January 2025.
