Bio

Emma Thacker first played netball in Year 2 at school and went on to play in the National Performance League for Surrey Storm’s Under 15 and Under 17 sides.

She was included as part of the England Roses Academy in 2018, and was a member of the Under-17 England squad that played at Netball Europe and toured Australia and New Zealand.

Thacker was also included in the long squad for the 2021 Netball World Youth Cup aged just 15, which was eventually cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

She represented England for two consecutive years at the FAST5 World Series competition, winning bronze in 2023.

Thacker was then included as part of the Vitality Roses programme and made her senior international debut against Malawi in January 2025.

She made her NSL debut for Loughborough Lightning in 2022 and was part of the 2023 title-winning team before joining London Mavericks ahead of the 2024 season.

Away from netball, Thacker is studying for a degree in Geography and Sports Science.
