Spring 2021 Roadmap for Netball

We cannot wait to get our sport and the Netball Family back on court – and as Spring approaches and the nights are getting lighter it feels closer than ever! We hope you are as excited as we are to see a return to play, and netball courts nationwide filled with women and girls playing the game we love, reunited and hopeful once again.

As we all look ahead to March 8 and the return of school sport, and from March 29 the return of the wider grassroots game, we want to share what we know to date about the anticipated Government roadmap for netball to help support planning.

We are due to receive further detail and clarification from the Government on each of the steps, but here is the latest guidance for netball as we understand it…

This roadmap takes us all the way to the removal of the game modifications and the return of tournaments, which we expect will be lifted in late June when legal limits on social contact are removed.

To support the return of organised outdoor sport as part of Step 1, we will be hosting a number of ‘Return to Play’ forums for COVID Officers to attend (please check your inboxes for more information), and will be updating our Care Package to help clubs return and tackle any challenges, such as accessing facilities.

As we start our journey as a Netball Family to getting back on court we want to know how you are feeling about returning to play, what netball means to you, and how the sport has played a role in your lives during this past year. We are also working on the 10-year strategy for netball and would love to hear your thoughts on the future of our game and how we can help shape and evolve the sport we all love for generations to come.

Our survey will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and by taking part you will have the opportunity to win some signed England Netball merchandise or one of four £50 Amazon vouchers as a thank you.

Please complete the survey hereYou have until midnight on March 14 to share your thoughts.

We will continue to provide you with regular updates and all the latest information you need to help support the restart of the game and reopening of courts so that as a Netball Family we safely return to play, and we will be with you every step of the way.
