An Update from Fran Connolly, Chief Executive of England Netball

Following this week’s news about Wasps Holdings Limited going into administration, Fran Connolly, Chief Executive of England Netball has provided an update."We know there will be many questions regarding what happens next for Wasps Netball, not just from the players and staff who were directly involved with the club, but also from the loyal Wasps and Super League fans, and the wider Netball Family."Whilst the situation regarding the Wasps Group remains uncertain, we are evaluating our options to find solutions for the continuation of Wasps’ Netball Community, Pathway and Super League programmes."I’m pleased to confirm that there is live interest from third parties looking to help secure the future of Wasps Netball, and we are working around the clock in conjunction with the administrators (FRP Advisory), to establish whether these proposals are viable, whilst also scenario planning for multiple eventualities at the same time.Working closely with the Netball Players Association, we continue to support the players who have so proudly represented Wasps Netball to date."We appreciate there will be many people within our Netball Family who will be looking for clarification on where we go from here. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this complex situation, and when further news is available, we will of course share it."
