Black Lives Matter

When one of your teammates fall, you run to them, you put your arm around them and if they’re hurt, you help them. It’s not because you don’t care about all of your other teammates, it’s because in that moment, they need you.

England Netball stands against racism. We need to now, more than ever, support Black members of the Netball Family.

We’ve been contacted by many incredible women who have spoken up about the need for us to be part of the change, and we agree. So, yesterday we asked several of those amazing women to share their experiences and to review what we currently do as an organisation and help us plan to do more.

We’re listening. We want to continue to educate ourselves and the Netball Family and shout louder.

As a next vital step, we will be running forums for the Netball Family to come together and further explore the experiences of Black and Ethnic Minority communities in our sport. It will be a chance to have open and honest discussions and help us stand even stronger against racism.

Netball Family, you will receive an email inviting you to sign up and join one of our forums. Let’s do more, together.
