National Schools

National Schools netball competition.

The National Schools Competition, in association with the British Army, is the biggest schools competition in the netball calendar.

The competition consists of three age groups; U14, U16 & U19 and commences at either an Arena or County Round.

The schools go on a remarkable journey to earn their place at this this prestigious national event, with schools finishing as winners or runners up in each age group progressing through to the regional round of the competition.

The winners and runners up from each of the nine regions take place in the National Finals which take place in March every year.

The 2020 National Schools Finals will take place at Stanborough School, Welwyn Garden City, on Saturday 14 March.

2019 National Schools Finals

The 2019 National Schools Finals took place at Stanborough School on Saturday 16 March 2019 and saw 54 schools from across the country compete.

The British Army supported the event with fun and games for teams to take part in when they weren’t playing.

The winning team in each age group attended an Ultimate Training Camp led by the British Army. This included on court training from England Netball coaches and the chance to meet and talk with former Head Coach of the Vitality Roses, Tracey Neville.

Runners Up – Blue Coat

U16 Winners – Parrenthorn

Runners Up – Brighton College

U19 Winners – Worthing College

Runners Up – Grammar School at Leeds

Endeavour Award – Cranford U16s

Best Defence – Wirral U14s (36 goals)

Best Attack – Millfield U19s (118 goals)
