England will host a landmark men’s international netball series in May and June 2025 as the Thorns take on Australia’s Kelpies – broadcast live on Sky Sports+.
The three-match Aurora Series marks the first time Australia’s men’s team, who are ranked number one in the world, will travel to England to face the Thorns.
The first game of the series will be played on Sunday 25 May at the Copper Box Arena in London before the action moves to the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on Saturday 31 May.
The series will then return to the Copper Box Arena for the final fixture on Sunday 1 June.
Each match will be staged as a double header alongside a Netball Super League (NSL) fixture, giving fans the opportunity to experience elite men’s and women’s netball together with one ticket covering both games.
The England Thorns played their first-ever international fixture against the Kelpies in Sydney in 2022, as part of a double header with the Origin Diamonds and Vitality Roses.
Since then, they’ve competed at the FAST5 Netball World Series in New Zealand and hosted the Jamaican men’s team in 2023.
They’ve also toured to St Kitts & Nevis in 2024 to take part in the Americas Netball Men’s Championships, where they faced seven international sides including Jamaica, the USA, and Trinidad & Tobago.
Now, with a new-look squad full of fresh talent and belief, the Thorns are ready to show just how far they’ve come since that first match in Sydney.
