Big weekend of netball with 16-19 Netball Open and Marion Smith competition

A jam-packed weekend of netball lies in store with both 16-19 Netball Open and the Marion Smith competition set to take place.

15 teams will battle it out to be crowned 16-19 Netball Open champions on Saturday 14th July at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.

The 2017 competition was a nail-biting success for YWCA Bury as they clinched the title in the most dramatic of fashions with last-second resolute defending sealing a 10-9 victory over The Downs.

The sides taking part are as follows: Tameside NC, Northants Storm, Rushmoor, Weston Park Blades, Team Beds, Brigg NC 1, Brigg NC 2, Linden, Clan, Lincoln City, Reckitts NC, Charnwood Rutland, AP Saints, MK Dons and Wasps.

The Marion Smith competition will also take place at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield, but on Sunday 15th July.

Four teams – SOSA, Rigby Hall, Friars JM and EPCN Dynamos – will take to the court.

They’ll play against each other in a round-robin style group stage before placing matches in the afternoon.
