England Netball appoints Rothschild & Co to explore investment opportunities to help accelerate the professionalisation and growth of the sport

England Netball has appointed Rothschild & Co, one of the world’s largest independent financial advisory firms and market leader in the sport industry, to explore investment opportunities in the sport and help accelerate the growth and professionalisation of the game.

The appointment, in partnership with that of Union Rights Management Limited, comes at an exciting time for the game, with over 3.1 million children and adults taking the court each year in England alone. The sport is experiencing record breaking interest from fans and followers, as well as a strong interest from commercial partners, as the Vitality Roses prepare to defend their Commonwealth Games title in Birmingham 2022.

England Netball is committed to driving growth, development, visibility and commercial value across the game at all levels, seeking strategic partners to transform the offer to athletes and fans and build a successful and sustainable future for the game.

The appointment comes following an independent ‘Professionalisation of Netball’ review with key stakeholders from across the game and the wider sport landscape consulted. The findings are currently being reviewed and will inform any future plans.
