The England U19s are ready and raring to show Australia exactly what they're capable of when they head off on their summer tour. The young Roses will travel to Canberra, basing themselves at the Australian Institute of Sport from the 2nd – 14th July, and will face a number of Australian U19 teams between the 8th – 12th July. The tour will be a fantastic opportunity for the U19s to gain invaluable international experience – for some of the athletes, this will be their first tour with England – and also allow them to put into practise everything they’ve been working on in training and benchmark where they’re at. Head Coach Jan said: "Over the course of our three training days the squad have had the opportunity to bond. “We've tried lots combinations and we're all now really excited to test ourselves against our Australian counterparts." Vice-captain Zara added: "It's been really good to see how all the girls have come together and started utilising the principles we've been developing in camp. “We're looking forward to getting to Canberra and showing the Aussies what we can do." Ellie commented: "It will be nice to experience a different style of play. “We are expecting it to be more physical and it will be exciting to see how we adapt against the Aussies." Kira said: "I'm really excited and ready to put into action what we've been working on."
