Kat Ratnapala

England Netball is delighted to announce that Kat Ratnapala has been named as a senior selector for the Vitality Roses.

Kat, who has years of experience within the elite netball landscape, will work alongside a team of national selectors and Vitality Roses Head Coach Jess Thirlby to select athletes for future international competitions.

Kat has previously been a part of the England set up in a variety of roles, including taking charge of the England U21 ‘Select’ team, working as a Technical Coach for England Netball, and more recently supporting Vitality Roses Head Coach Jess Thirlby in an Assistant Coach capacity for their test series with South Africa.

Sara Symington, Performance Director at England Netball, said: “We are delighted that Kat put herself forward for this voluntary role. Her experience of working with athletes at both a Vitality Netball Superleague and Vitality Roses level means that her insight and knowledge will be vital throughout the next international cycle.

“She is evidently passionate about netball and dedicates a lot of her time to this sport, so we’re pleased that she is continuing to be involved.”

England Netball would like to thank Kat, who also plies her trade as Head Coach for Vitality Netball Superleague team Saracens Mavericks, for her ongoing contributions to the sport.
