Maggie Birkinshaw appointed National Selector for England Roses

England Netball is delighted to announce that Maggie Birkinshaw has been appointed as a National Selector with the England Roses.

Maggie brings a wealth of knowledge, passion and experience to the role, having been involved in netball since the age of nine.

She played at the highest level of the game and represented England U18s, U21s and the senior team, with whom she competed at three World Championships.

Since then she has dedicated her time and energy to giving back to the sport and has held a number of high-profile positions.

She was previously Assistant Coach at Yorkshire Jets and is currently Loughborough Lightning Assistant Coach.

Maggie is looking forward to being part of the National Selectors Team observing and working with the National Coach, her support team and the performance athletes as they transition into the next cycle of their preparation ultimately building to the Netball World Cup.

She replaces Gilly Salter, who is leaving due to increasing business commitments.

England Netball would like to place on record our sincere thanks and gratitude to Gilly for all her hard work and dedication.
