I used to reminisce and ponder
Of playing netball in the sun, rain & the snow
No other sport had I been so fonder
Very often I wished and said, you know
I would love to play netball again
Of course it was so long ago, I would sigh
I just did not know what to do
Far, far too late was the cry
And I feared that was, so very true
I would love to play netball again
But then one day by pure chance
Facebook answered my prayer
I almost did a happy dance
Walking Netball it did share
I might be able to play netball again

Derby Velodrome was the place
Both of ladies so cheery and keen
My dream came true, a smile upon my face
I AM playing netball again
Lots of new friends, it’s just the best
There’s loads of laughter and oodles of fun
I feel so thankful and so blessed
We are all so eager and try not to run
I LOVE playing netball again
