Netball Performance League 2024 Final Round for U17, U19 and U21

Teams from across the country gathered in Nottingham today at the David Ross Sports Village to complete the 23/24 season of the Netball Performance League (NPL).

The league, which is split into three categories (U17, U19 and U21) provides players with a high-intensity performance environment aiming to prepare them for top-level competition.

NPL U21

Loughborough Lightning sealed their winning title today beating Saracens Mavericks 67-39. Their season-long winning streak continues, confirming their place as U21 champions this 2024 season.

Congratulations also to the U21 runners up Saracens Mavericks and third place Leeds Rhinos, with only one point between them.

NPL U19

London Pulse took the win over Central Warriors today after great match, placing them as winners of the U19 age group with 45 points.

The battle for second and third was held on court A, a well-matched Saracens Mavericks vs Loughborough Lightning game. Ultimately Mavericks’ strong defensive side enabled them to take the points, placing them as runners up and Lightning as third in this age group, with four points between them.

Playing their match at the start of the day were Severn Stars vs Leeds Rhinos, a close match with Stars taking the lead with 65-52 over Rhinos. In this age category, North East Phoenix vs Surrey Storm was also a particularly exciting match up, drawing for the majority of the time, until North East Phoenix took the win by 2 goals.

NPL U17

U17 Manchester Thunder have been crowned the champions of the north division and today competed in a friendly against U17 Surrey Storm, who were the winning team from the south division. Manchester Thunder took the win with 52 goals to 36.  Congratulations to both teams as U17 winners!

Runners up of the south division were London Pulse with 11 points.

Finishing second in the north division were Loughborough Lightning with 12 points.
