New ‘In Season’ theme for Virtual Netball Club

The member exclusive Virtual Netball Club (VNC) has a new ‘In Season’ theme for October to December.

During this period, England Netball members will be able to take part in a live weekly ‘Match FIIT’ session, which can either be completed from the comfort of their own homes or with teammates following the latest England Netball roadmap guidance.

‘Match FIIT’ is a high intensity, interval training session that will get netballers game day ready. The session will be broken down into four quarters to get players starting their game strong, seeing them through that all-important third quarter and gritting it out to a win!

All England Netball members can also access a wealth of other training resources including skill and fitness sessions.

The Netball Training session will be in the form of a weekly 45 minute pre-record for all age groups. With overarching themes of ‘winning the ball’ and ‘options’, ball handling and more specific game sense situations will also be incorporated throughout the weeks.

There are also resources about the RAMP framework (Raise – Activate – Mobilise – Prepare), which will help individual players and teams create effective warm-ups.

Ten weeks of junior training with England Netball ambassador Sasha Corbin is also available for U11s with sessions designed around tactical game based scenarios and in line with the Bee Netball framework.

For all the coaches out there, the VNC is a great opportunity to watch and learn from others, take away some ideas, and think about what adaptations and changes you can make to apply the ideas to your own sessions and training.

A ‘Coach’s Review’ video will also be uploaded with the Netball Training session pre-records to give coaches an insight into how those leading the session felt it went and what they might change if they were to do it again.

You can also keep your coaching brains active with match analysis sessions with Vitality Roses Head Coach Jess Thirlby and special guests, as well as have access to in-depth coaching and leadership insights.

There’s also an opportunity to get to know the Vitality Roses and Futures better, and learn about their journeys on and off the court with the Netball Natter series. Razia Quashie, Kadeen Corbin and Natalie Panagarry, just to name a few, have all been interviewed so far with more exclusive chats still to come!

As always, make sure to check your Member Monday emails for weekly updates and session links to access both the live and pre-recorded sessions.
