Victoria Burgess’ side got their Netball Europe U17 Championship title defence off to a winning start after a dominant display against Scotland on Friday morning.
Showing no signs of nerves, the young Roses flew out of the traps in the opening quarter with a combination of steely defensive pressure and sharp shooting helping them to an early 6-22 lead.
There was no taking their foot off the gas by the 12-strong squad as they remained resolute to restrict Scotland to minimal opportunities.
Displaying maturity and a clinical edge, England capitalised on their own chances to further extend their advantage.
They picked up where they left off after half-time and showed great consistency across all four quarters, scoring 22 (Q1), 21 (Q2) and then 23 goals (Q3 and Q4).
All 12 players got on court - with many celebrating their first caps at this age level - as they ran out comfortable winners at the Ebbw Vale Sports Centre.
The U17s now have the afternoon to recover and regroup ready to face Northern Ireland in their second match of the competition on Friday evening (19:00).
Score updates at the end of each quarter will be available to view on the results tab of the Academy fixtures page.
