Roses face the Diamonds in Adelaide

England’s Roses are in Adelaide ready for their second Netball Quad Series fixture, and this time they face World Champions Australia.

The Roses will have to dust themselves down and go again following their 65-39 loss at the hands of New Zealand’s Silver Ferns on Saturday morning in Auckland.

England will be taking to court against Australia’s Diamonds at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre at 11am on Wednesday 31st August.

The last time England faced Australia was in the Vitality International Netball Series back in January where they suffered a 3-nil series defeat.

But the Roses will be buoyed by the memory of a strong performance at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on the 20th January 2016 where they lost by just six goals in a closely contested game.

The new-look Roses will be looking to gel as a unit and build combinations in a bid to put out a stronger performance against the best team in the world.

A reminder of your Roses Netball Quad Series squad is as follows:

Jo Harten, Ellie Cardwell, Kadeen Corbin, Helen Housby, Jade Clarke, Serena Guthrie, Hannah Joseph, Laura Malcolm, Beth Cobden, Natalie Panagarry, Ama Agbeze (Captain), Stacey Francis, Summer Artman, Geva Mentor, Jodie Gibson

In the other fixture of the day, New Zealand’s Silver Ferns take on South Africa’s SPARProteas in Hamilton.
