The Huddle provides all England Netball members, staff and partners with a platform to share stories about the people you are proud to know – people who inspire you and make a positive difference to the Netball Family.
Awe-inspiring charity fundraiser? Innovating to grow the game? Breaking barriers and connecting communities? Whatever it may be, we want to hear about it because your stories are what make netball so special.
Here are the features we’ve shared so far in The Huddle…
Working in collaboration with the help of England Netball forums, comprehensive restart guidance and commitment from volunteers, the Herts & Essex School Sports Centre in Bishop’s Stortford, Swan Netball Club and Bishop’s Stortford District Netball League (BSDNL) successfully got players safely back on court.
Driven by their love for the game and desire to enrich the lives of the Northants Netball Family after a tough year, Yvonne Blunt (County Chair of Northamptonshire) and Kelly Thomson (Northampton Netball Development Officer) knew that if the sport was to return, it would need to be delivered very differently.
Sam Oliver and Julie Tinsley played a significant role in securing £10,000 of vital Sport England funds to enable the safe return of hundreds of netballers in Staffordshire after lockdown, despite the challenges presented to them by the pandemic.
With so many of us accessing netball via virtual means this past year, we wanted to start by celebrating the role Jan Johnson has played in setting up a regional virtual league, keeping players connected, motivated and engaged during lockdown. A huge thank you from all of us here at England Netball and everyone who has enjoyed being part of the league.
We want to capture stories from all over the country and celebrate incredible achievements with the world. Share the stories of people who inspire you here.
The Huddle is a feature in the member exclusive Virtual Netball Club (VNC) and promises to do what all good huddles do – bring the whole Netball Family together! You can see what else is available at the VNC here.
