The 2018 National Clubs U16 Finals came to an exciting close on Sunday afternoon as Turnford staged a second-half comeback to beat Oldham 33-29.

Oldham took a perfect record into the final showdown but it was Turnford who made the brighter start and led 6-4 at the end of the first quarter.

The North West regional runners-up turned the game in their favour though and were 14-11 up at half-time.

As the final 15 minutes of the match got underway, just one goal separated the two sides with Oldham 22-21 in front.
