Applications open for England Netball Level 2 coaching course funding

In August 2021, Gilbert launched a limited-edition netball dedicated to representing and celebrating the amazing clubs who registered with England Netball for the 2020/21 season and kept the momentum of our sport going during the pandemic.

With an unparalleled year ahead for netball in this country, this is our time to build back stronger, to grow our sport, to strive for more.

To help support the Netball Family, Gilbert have put 30% of proceeds from sales of this ball towards funding eligible coaches to undertake their England Netball Level 2 coaching course and now is your time to apply.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a full England Netball membership and have been an active coach in netball for a minimum of two years or have a Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Netball. Full details of the course and eligibility requirements can be found here.

There are 11 funded places available – if you’re interested in being considered, please complete the application form.

We want to hear about your coaching journey so far, why you would like to undertake your England Netball Level 2 coaching course, as well as what you hope to gain from this experience and how this opportunity would benefit you and your community.

The deadline for applications is 9am on Sunday 24 October. All applications will then be reviewed by a selection panel and winners will be notified by England Netball by 3 December.

The courses will be available between March and September 2022 in various locations and you will be required to make any travel and accommodation arrangements yourself. If successful in obtaining a place, you will be notified of the dates and location in November 2021.

To be certificated in the course, you’re required to have a UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children training certificate and a recognised First Aid at Work certificate uploaded onto your e-portfolio before the end of the course content delivery. These courses will need to be self-funded.

A big thank you to Gilbert for their continued support of England Netball and the Netball Family, and good luck to everyone applying!

Full terms and conditions of the competition can be viewed here.
