The last time the Roses faced the Silver Ferns was in Sydney for the 2015 World Cup Semi-Final where New Zealand took the victory against England to win 50-39 and advance to the final.

The Roses went on to beat Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls 66-44 in the bronze medal match while the Silver Ferns narrowly missed out on gold by three goals (58-55) against the Diamonds.

It’s set to be a thrilling encounter between two of the best sides in the world – England will be looking to take one back against the Ferns to mark this exciting series-opening day.
