A new netball season is upon us, and after all the uncertainty and challenges we have experienced during the past 18 months, it brings with it a renewed sense of hope and joy for the Netball Family.

A new season

As the global pandemic hit, the freedom to live our lives as we know it was put on hold. We lost that time for ourselves as we put the needs of others before us.

And as our netball courts closed, the joy that our sport brings us was replaced by feelings of uncertainty as the world around us changed.

A new season sees our courts reopen once again, ready to welcome you back, arms open wide. This is our time to reunite as one Netball Family, a proud community with a sense of belonging and togetherness that we will never take for granted again.

This is our time to reconnect, to play, and to rebuild ourselves, each other, and our sport.

More than a membership

As a not-for-profit sport our members are the fabric of our game, our DNA, our heritage and our future.

Being an England Netball member is about being a part of something special; being a part of a Netball Family that helps to protect, grow, nurture and champion our game today and for years to come.

This past year we have seen just how powerful the collective efforts of our members can be with 90,000 of you continuing to invest in our game, despite the impact COVID-19 had on the season, directly contributing to helping our sport survive financially.

The brilliance of our members shone through during the darkest of times, and one thing is certain; the 2021-22 season will not be any ordinary membership year.

This is our time to be extraordinary, together.

The year ahead

The year ahead for netball in this country is unparalleled.

It is a critical year to return our sport. This is our time to build back stronger, to grow our sport, to strive for more. This is our time to inspire more women and girls to take to the courts than ever before, to set ourselves apart from other sports, to celebrate what makes us unique, filling our courts across the country with joy once again.

This is our time to play with hope, and happiness, to grow and set bold new goals for ourselves and our sport.

Not only will we see our grassroots game re-emerge and our Vitality Netball Superleague continue to rise, but the 2021-22 season will also see our Vitality Roses journey to a Commonwealth Games on home soil to defend their title, putting a spotlight on our sport like never before.

Together as one Netball Family this is our time to return our game to even greater heights, taking to the court this season united by an unwavering commitment and love for netball.
