Games continue to come thick and fast for the Vitality Roses in Australia as another set of midweek fixtures mark Round Seven (the halfway stage) of the 2020 Super Netball season.

Up first, Vitality Roses Geva Mentor (Collingwood Magpies) and Stacey Francis (West Coast Fever) will go head-to-head once again with their respective sides.

The previous meeting this term was an edge-of-your-seat encounter as Francis’ Fever snatched a 62-63 victory in Round Four.

Magpies will be looking to secure their second win while Fever are chasing down a third win and have the top four in their sights.

Jo Harten’s GIANTS drew 61-61 – the only match that has finished honours even so far this season – with Queensland Firebirds the last time they met (R4).

Since that result, GIANTS have narrowly lost to both Sunshine Coast Lightning and top-of-the-table Melbourne Vixens and will be determined to get back to winning ways.

Defending champions NSW Swifts previously lost 65-58 to Sunshine Coast Lightning in 2020 in a repeat of last season’s Grand Final.

Helen Housby and Natalie Haythornthwaite’s side currently sit third on the ladder and will be determined to make it three wins on the spin after victories over Queensland Firebirds (57-64) and Collingwood Magpies (60-58).

To close Round 7, Adelaide Thunderbirds will be looking to do the double over ladder leaders Melbourne Vixens.

Chelsea Pitman, Layla Guscoth and Kate Shimmin all featured as Thunderbirds roared home in the fourth quarter of Round Four to break through for their maiden win over the Vixens in Super Netball (47-54).
